Pune, Sept 30: Police have registered a case against Cuckoo Bar and Restaurant in Kalyaninagar for allegedly serving liquor beyond permitted hours and disturbing residents with loud music.
The action was taken on Tuesday under Sections 223 and 293 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 33(x) of the Maharashtra Police Act, read with Section 131.
The accused has been identified as Fayaz Fakiruddin Mir (34), a resident of Shivneri Nagar. Police constable Amol Gaikwad lodged the complaint.
According to officials, when police visited the spot around 12:30 a.m., they found the sound system blaring at high volume, causing inconvenience to nearby residents, while 10–12 customers were being served.
The complaint further notes that the accused violated orders issued by the Police Commissioner under Section 163 of the IPC.
